1. Copy/paste formatting
The best way to improve your workflow is to learn the shortcuts. This is one of our favourites.
2. Align
Ever wondered why some slides you put together just look ‘off’? They’re untidy but you can’t figure out why. In this video you’ll learn how to use the alignment tools to make sure your content is neat and tidy every time.
3. Icons
When you tell visual stories you need things to tell that story with. Icons are great tools and PowerPoint has a fully-built-out icon library ready to use. Learn how it works in this video.
4. Using maps
As well as icons, maps are a great way to tell compelling stories with your content. Get yourself a set of maps here, and then put them to good use with your learnings from this video.

5. Animation
The best way to keep your audience in sync with your presenter is to use animation to pace the flow of information onto your slide. Learn how to do that here.
6. Hyperlinks
Not all stories need to follow the same path. It might suit your presentation to give your audience more of a ‘choose your own adventure’ path as they take the driving seat and decide what is of most interest to them. In that case you might want to build interactivity into your presentation so that you can go anywhere in your slide deck at any time. Learn how in the video below.
7. Triggers
Triggers bring animations and hyperlinks together to create compelling interactions on your slides. Learn how they work and how to make the most out of them in this video.

Visual stories resonate with audiences way more than pretty bullet points ever can. Take your first steps in visual storytelling in this video tutorial.

How do you go about turning your dry bullet points into something more visual? It’s a process called visualisation and this video will unpack the basics for you.
