Open Source Software

BrightCarbon makes uses of third party software within its products, some of which is open source software. This page is a register for these dependencies, for each product family.

BrightSlide

There is currently no third party software in use within this product.

BrandIn

A typical BrandIn deployment defines three user roles:

• IT Admin who is responsible for installing the solution on user’s machines
• Publisher is a brand advocate who curates and publishes the asset library
• Users of the solution

The user role does not make use of any third party software.

The publisher role requires the use of the open source software suite from imagemagic.org This is a suite of image processing utilities used during the publication of the asset library to generate the thumbnail images that appear in the user interface and file-size-optimised assets for insertion into PowerPoint files.

ShowMaker

There is currently no third party software in use within this product.

remove.bg

The remove.bg add-in for PowerPoint makes use of a CLI (Command Line Interface) utility published by Kaleido on GitHub.
