People Powered Retrofit – Zero Carbon Harrogate Animations project

These three dynamic animations were created in partnership with Zero Carbon Harrogate’s Retrofit programme – a not-for-profit organisation that aims to make Harrogate District a zero carbon community by 2030 to ensure a sustainable future – and funded by Ofgem’s Energy Redress Fund. The videos created were to be uploaded to YouTube and were aimed at professionals in the construction industry, so the client placed great emphasis on the technical aspects of the illustrations.

The design style consists of black and white illustrations, which give the animations a more “technical” character. Colours and patterns are used to highlight the materials of interest and help us focus on structural problems.
